This job includes handling reservations by phone, by mail, and in person, filing paperwork, processing payments, and working the desk in the Kelp Shed. This person will be welcoming guests, answering questions, and helping to make each camper's experience enjoyable.
Requirements: Applicants need to be able to use a computer to process reservations and perform other office tasks, and to have a personality suited to working well with the public.
Seasonal: June-Sept
Five days a week including some weekend and PM shifts (until 8 PM)
Must have reliable transportation.
Possibility of on-island housing if person is not local.
Work with a team of people responsible for the cleanliness and general upkeep of the campsites and bathroom/shower facilities, primarily, but also beaches, roads, paths, and other areas within the campground as needed. Main responsibilities include mowing and weed-trimming, raking, sweeping, cleaning and re-stocking bathrooms and showers, shoveling out fire pits, splitting and stacking wood, picking up litter, and helping to keep trash barrel areas neat. Other duties could including painting, collecting bottles for recycling, and helping members of the Maintenance crew.
Seasonal: May - Oct., with possible work from late April until mid-November
Five-day weeks during the peak summer season, Jun - Aug.
Requirements: Strong work ethic, self-directed and motivated, enjoy working outdoors
Possibility of on-island housing if the applicant is not local. If local, reliable transportation is required.
Work in the gift shop selling merchandise to campers, restocking, and keeping track of inventory.
Seasonal, part time: 5 days a week, about 24 hours/week, mid-June - Labor Day.
Requirements: computer skills for cash register system and inventory management, the ability to carry bulky boxes of merchandise for short distances, and a friendly, upbeat personality.
Run the cash register/credit card machine, stock shelves and coolers, check in and put away orders, order new merchandise, maintain store cleanliness, cook lobsters, make coffee, answer campers’ questions.
Seasonal: June - Sept.
Seasonal driver needed to collect trash on the campground. Must be able to work weekends and have a valid, clean driver's license.
Seasonal: June - Sept.
Full-time worker needed to help with campground facility maintenance. Applicant must have a general knowledge of carpentry, electrical systems, plumbing, and mechanical repair and maintenance. Must work weekends during the camping season, and have general work tools and their own vehicle.
