HOW TO RESERVE A SITE
RATES & DATES
EQUIPMENT:
- We welcome campers with tents, pop-up trailers (18', 21', 25') and small pick-up (slide-on) campers. Vans are allowed up to 8'H, 19L. (i.e. Sprinter)
- We do not allow RVs, teardrops, travel trailers, hybrid trailers, and dual-wheeled pick-up campers. No Class B vehicles.
- There are no electrical hook-ups or pumping stations.
- The site you choose must match the equipment you bring. Each site is unique - some are suitable only for tents, others can fit pop-ups or pick-up campers.
- All tow-behind boat or utility trailers must be stored at the boat trailer lot during your stay.
GUESTS:
- Each site can accommodate 2 21+ adults, or 2 adults with minor children.
- The person who makes the reservation must be 21+(show government ID at check-in), and must stay at the site. That person assumes liability for any minor staying at the site.
- Visitors are not allowed. The campground is for registered guests only.
PARKING:
- One vehicle per campsite. Limited overflow parking for a second vehicle is available off-island for a fee.
PETS:
- No pets allowed except on the final weekend of the season in October.

Prices do not include the 9% Maine Lodging Tax. The tax will be added to your total.
We also rent 3 small cabins on a weekly basis during the regular season. They can be rented for less than a week in the off-season. See "Cabins" page for details.
We have 1 yurt available, on site 34E Dune Way.

CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
A site may only be rented by an adult 21+. That person will need to provide a government-issued ID at check-in.
Send requests for multiple sites in the same envelope.
EACH SITE must be registered to a 21+ adult camping on that site. Sites must be occupied by campers overnight.
One person may send in/call with the request, but may not rent multiple sites under one name.
A $125 deposit is required for each site requested.
For EACH SITE requested by mail, include:
- name, address, phone & email
- type of equipment used - tent, pop-up including length when open, van type/size
- number of adults 21+ (2 max)
- number of children and their ages (under 21)
- arrival date
- departure date
- names of individual campsites requested in order of preference (5 Boxhaul, 10 Joe's Head, etc.).
- For multiple site requests, provide the above information about each adult 21+ who will be renting the additional site(s)
- Write " Or do your best" and we will pick a site for you based on your equipment, dates, and availability if none of your site selections are available. If being "on the island" takes precedence over "site spot", make this clear!

A reservation may only be booked, changed, or cancelled through the reservation desk.
No site may be transferred directly from one camper to another. For a site to be booked by another customer, it must first be cancelled by the person who made the original reservation.
Reservations made in Jan. and Feb. may not be shortened. Cancellations will incur a fee of $125.
No refunds will be given for Memorial Day and Labor Day weekend reservations. Reservations for these dates may not be transferred to other dates.
Refunds will be given for reservations that are canceled 7+ days before the first night's stay. However, a fee equal to the amount of the last night of the reservation will be charged.
No refunds will be given for bad weather.
A fee of $25 will be charged for more than 3 changes to a reservation. (per site, if more than 1 site is reserved)

- Full payment must be sent with your letter for Memorial and Labor Day stays.
- Letters received before Jan. 1 requesting reservations for stays of 7+ nights as well as the Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends will be processed beginning the first working day of January by random selection. Mail received after Jan. 1 will be opened in the order in which it was received after the other requests have been processed. We strongly suggest you mail your request in early December.

OFF SEASON RESERVATIONS
We now take reservations for off-season stays. This is a change from several years ago, when campers could select a site on a first-come, first-served basis.
